Gaggia Classic Disassembly and Cleaning
I’ve used your guide to disassembly of the Gaggia Classic several times now over the years when I have serviced mine. A few months ago I accidentally left the boiler in the descaler solution overnight and afterwards realised that it was shedding lots of little black particles. I’ve “dremelled” it thoroughly and reassembled it ready for flushing out well, but at the moment the pump has been playing up and I’m awaiting a replacement so I don’t know yet how successful this has been. In view of the implication of the role of aluminum in dementia, would you recommend replacing the boiler if it hasn’t been successful? Is there any other treatment to restabilise the aluminum surface?
Hello, I’m sorry, but this is not my guide. You can contact the author by original link. Cheers.
